The American Pain Society has scheduled its 31st annual scientific meeting to take place at the Hawaii Convention Center May 17—19.
The meeting is expected to draw 1,500 pain management clinicians and researchers, including physicians, psychologists, pharmacists and nurses. The meeting will provide current information about diagnosing, treating and managing various types of pain, according to an announcement from the Hawaii Convention Center.
The American Pain Society’s meeting is the latest in medical conferences that are scheduled for the Hawaii Convention Center. Medical conferences scheduled this year at the convention center include the BMT Tandem Meetings held in February, the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting held this month and the American College of Chest Physicians’ annual meeting set for Oct. 22—27.
Overall, the Hawaii Convention Center has fewer than a dozen large-group meetings slated for 2012 and just nine booked so far in 2013, according to recent data released by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
